Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Thanks mate.

So, the next car to be finished will be the HiLux.  It's painted, cleared (satin with patchy flat over the top to give a worn look), and i've got the wheels on.  Next job is to weather it up to make it look shabby and well used.

And i've put the transfers on the Battle.  It's a prototype undergoing operational trials with the RCAF Coastal Command.

Thanks Womby.
I think the LowLux is begging for a set of P plates.  It has the feel of a probationary drivers ride.

Sounds about right, especially if it's a bit "worn".

I'll be honest and admit that at the begining I couldn't see how the Battle was going to work, but it really is starting to look "right" now, especially the turret   . Certainly suits the scheme

Don't forget the 'Pink Sticker' (or whatever the local equivalent is) on the windscreen!

What's a pink sticker mean?

Quick bit of Google-fu tells me its a car that has failed the New Zealand equivalent of a MOT/DOT/DMV inspection as either unsafe or modified in such a manner as to not comply with modification rules.

The Council 'Warden's Dept' stuck the local equivalent of a couple of them on my Volvo the other day, claiming it had been 'abandoned' and was 'deemed unsafe'! Ruddy nerve!

I was on the phone to them in jig time and spoke to the woman 'warden' who'd actually put them on, asking her what qualifications she had for determining that it was 'unsafe'. She said she'd been appointed to the position and that gave her all the power she needed, arrogance personified!  :o

I told her I held an HND Auto, so I WAS qualified, and that the car had passed its MoT and I just hadn't used it for a while, and that there was no law saying how often one had to drive one's cars.

She backed off and told me I could remove the stickers, and that REALLY did it!

I replied that SHE had to remove them or I'd be speaking to other areas of the Council about 'official vandalism'!

They've gone now.............  ;D

Thanks, Scooter - that's it precisely.

Fred, IMHO it'd be the perfect accessory.  Other opinions are available, of course...  ;)

Kit - yeah the arrogance of some Petty Tyrants Minor Officials  sometimes has to be seen/experienced to be disbelieved!

That's a perfect line! I have to remember that!

Thanks, Kerick - my Sister found it online somewhere and mentioned it, and there are a plethora of situations it's perfect for (and there are more and more of them every day, it seems... :banghead: )
