I'll stick to the galv. wire, it's good enough for what I want it to do.

So, anyway, moving right along, here;

Slowly but surely! ;)  :thumbsup:

Most of the pins are glued in place, now, but the whole thing is still only being held together by them, gravity & Wishful Thinking.

Hey, you use whatever works, right?  ;D

This song seems to really hit the spot for me with this build;

The original German;

Did I mention that I've been thinking of expanding this into a small diorama? :unsure:

Well, I have, & I must have mentioned it over on Beyond the Sprues because apophenia came up with some female ideas in silly clothing as support for the Christmas Knight.

As I said to him;

No back-up for the Christmas Knight but, if there was, there's ainly one option ... the nac mac feegle!

What I'm really thinking about is some adversaries;

The following are all gaming pieces available in multiple scales (including the 75mm that the knight is scaled to) that I've been looking at ...
 ... but most will require anywhere from "a fair amount of" to "a lot of" modifying to get the exact look I'm thinking of.

Of course cost & enthusiasm will have a significant effect on whether I do any of this, & what I do, if I do.

Of course you both picked the most expensive of the fig's! ;D

Actually, I'm pretty sure this beast is going to be one of the opponents.

The others are all in the mix, too; especially the last two.

The first two; I like them both as the "commander/leader" but I am unlikely to be able to buy both, & the first is marginally in the lead because I prefer the overall figure (although I kinda prefer the axe-&-shield combo of the second).

All of them have the gaming figure issue of being over-engineered & I can see a lot of careful re-forming of weapons & armour to make them less bulky.

PS: I've just done my first pass of Tamiya primer, which will help with identifying where there needs to be filling & re-texturing. I have to turn the pieces over in a while to do the other side.

Of course we choose the most expensive one as Fred and I can foresee the empty wally( wallet 😄..fingers moved faster than brain )  of the future  ;D  ;D
All those figures look great and id prefer a non human one as painting human shades suck 😆
I even made a start on my chaos knight because of your build Guy and so far ..it's not to bad ..but it is going to get a whole lot worse 🙃  :wacko:
He is Chaos after all  ;D

Hmmmm....
The whole evil elf/orc/goblin look would work pretty good.

I'll save you some cash!  ;) I like the last three, especially the last two as they look particularly evil.  The third from last doesn't look to be the same quality as the others. The last one might benefit from adding a weapon, but having it without adds to the creepiness.

I can vouch for the quality of the Lord of the Print/Rescale stuff if you plump for the first three.  I've got their Godzilla that I'm trying to sum up the courage to paint (and build), it's fantastic.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thanks for the info, Mossie! :thumbsup:

My biggest issue is that my pay packet is underscale compared to my shopping list. :-\

I know how you feel, there's a lot I want to buy and looks beautiful, but I'm out of a job at the mo and my lack of mojo means I can't really justify it. I'm hoping to join a local wargaming club to help lift my motivation and painting skills.

One thing to think about the two-headed dude (he is indeed awesome) is there's a lot of detail to paint.  That can be a plus or minus.  Also, in terms of the dio, who do you want the focus to be on? If there's a lot going on with one model, it's going to be on that one.

There's also a mis-match in their poses, Santa is in partial readiness but not expecting immediate action. That might be part of the story your telling, the bad guy steaming in but cooly parried by Santa to show how awesome he is, despite a size difference, with some inference of massively superior skill or a magic element.  Or maybe another bad guy lurking trying to convince he's not a threat (and Santa not buying it)?  Thinking about how they'll fit together and the story might help you choose.

Paint has gone on & some has come off, & different paint is going on.

Still fairly early days, though, & a bit difficult to show any meaning full images.

Plus, we have family here, so modelling has more back an order or two in priority.
