Or damn close to it..I know it's a bloody big chunk of alloy ..remember it's a wiffy so it's gonna work anyway  ;D
But it's also got to look right ..I do know it'll look damn good tho and weird..I like

Yes it is, as wide as the B.20's fuselage and about 2/3 the height. It won't fit as well on the He-119 as that's got a low wing, but it should work technically OK.

It'll need tip floats too, but I have almost a full set of Aeroclub vacform floats in The Loft
.
Something that large on your bird would look seriously wrong..apart from the low wing it's got a pretty slim fuselage aswell ..so now aesthetics come into play.
This will be a challenge bud ..but one I think will be worth the effort 👌
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Personally I'd go with the single struts for each float. Add a couple of thin bracing struts and the ladder and you're done.

Given that you are still working on the He-119, may I suggest an amendment to the thread title?    To quote a nineteenth century hymn writer, "Perchance it is not dead but merely sleepeth"    I'm delighted to see work continuing, and eagerly await the finished model and backstory.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Rather it's only mostly dead, instead of totally dead.

Thread drift a go-go.  ;D

Actually it only looks slim from side on, from above it's a fat old bird, see the pic earlier in the thread. But it is pretty difficult drawing up a single float with twice the displacement of the existing ones and finding somewhere for it to retract into under that quite short fuselage. Unlike the B.20 the float has to miss the single prop in both positions, and it ends up being VERY deep to be short enough and have a large enough volume.

From the above you'll have gathered I spent a fair amount of time calculating and drawing last night............
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Can we expect tales of Heinkel espionage in the Blackburn works in the backstory, or was it the other way round?

Probably both.  ;D

The He 119 was ahead of the B.20 timewise as the B.20 didn't fly till March 1940 so there could have been a bit of cross-fertilisation I guess.

The B.20's one of my FAVE aeroplanes, it's just so bizarre, and I have a kit of one somewhere, donated to me by the late Mike McEvoy.    My Whiffed in-service version has the working title of the Blackburn Bolton.
