Had a week in Chesster last week with some old school mates. Also took a day trip to Liverpool while there. Chester's a good place, although my knees are killing me  also got a model shop, more model trains than kits, but still a reasonable selection.

As I said, spent last week in Chester with some old school mates Know each other since we were 11, so that's 61 years now  You cannot view this attachment.

Very little done modelling wise since the return from Chester and I doubt if they'll be much more done before Telford. Real World's not so much as got in the way, but has decided it needs some attention   Also been catching up with friends and various other things. Still I keep looking at the Zero and DB-7 so they don't feel neglected.

Also started to make my list of what I need at Telford, and surprisingly at the moment it only includes what could fall under the general description of tools/paints/glues. No kits are jumping out at me at the moment, but then Airfix managed to surprise us last year  . Anyway getting kits home by train can be "fun" so unless anything throws it'self at me I'll probably leave "new kit aquisition" to the London Show in December. Showing my age when it comes to hauling things about I'm afraid  :-\

Good to hear you've been keeping active.
Did you see the story about the guys meeting up every Thursday since 1968? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cgj4pl878pwo

As always I'm prepared to play courier if you decide to go crazy and buy a big kit!

Yup I saw that story on BBC Breakfast this morning and they are interviewing them tomorrow, they get to meet Sally Nugent  . Me and my mates have been meeting on Thursdays since 1970, but not the same pub, they've tended to shut down

Thanks for the courier offer Nick

Whatever next ? This was on Hannants New Arrivals page this morning. You'd of thought that they could at least have offered one with the lid up and one with it down. Save rows with the Mrs  ;)

Tbh, I get unrealistically annoyed when someone can't put the toilet lid down. Yes, I'm in contact with my feminine side..

Actually it's not a problem, the castings come with separate lids so you can assemble them up or down.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

If they'd doing men's bicycles from the same period, that'd make for a dio of the 1999 movie version of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

I do a double take every time I see something like "first half of the twentieth century".

Being "mid 20th century"  myself, I understand exactly what you are saying.   Let's remember that our much esteemed proponent of longer wings would himself count as " first half of the twentieth century"

I find it difficult to relate to the nineteen seventies being fifty years ago   :-\  When did that happen?
