Working in a relatively "young" business, everyone and her uncle is generally at least ten years younger than me - and senior in their position. Ah, well. As there are many very skilled women here too, the fairs are good..

Hehehe, dead right too. Only 42 % of it had passed by when I arrived.  ;D

I find it difficult to relate to the nineteen seventies being fifty years ago   :-\  When did that happen?

Yup I had 3 jobs after leaving school and only the final one was what you'd call a career and that was for 30 years as well

Meanwhile showing my age I'm fighting a bit of a battle with Microsoft and Word at the moment  :banghead:  The flippin' thing keeps crashing, anyway I've finally done what I needed to do and I think we've decided to call it a draw

My daughter was talking about stuff that happened in the 70s and 80s and commented, "What was it like, I mean you guys existed at that time!"  :o
Yeah, and we were being chased around by dinosaurs..........

BOTH my daughters exited around the 70s & 80s too!

I woke my oldest up in the small hours  of July 21st 1969 specially so she could watch Neil Armstrong make that 'one small step. The youngest wasn't born till two years later, so she's truly a space-age woman.  ;D

I got my mum to wake me up for one of the moon landings, the tv was showing them live at a most inconsiderate time, probably ok for the Americans though.

Now that would be good for modelling that Skyraider which carried / dropped one in Vietnam. Would also be a nice cargo for a builders truck etc.

I caught the end of Johnnie Walkers last ever Sounds of the Seventies on Radio 2 last night. You can listen to it on the BBC website. He was talking about his career starting as the second DJ on Radio Caroline, then onto Radio 1 and Radio 2 etc. It was rather moving and you could hear the sadness in his voice. It struck me that he's been on air for nearly 60 years!
It's not really a job if you enjoy it...

There is actually a Brengun conversion set for the Skyraider 'toilet bomb' (https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/BRL72046?result-token=6MJ4f).

Hasegawa did/does a boxing of their A-1H with said 'ordnance'.

Yes, I listened to it too, I tried not to miss his Sunday afternoon prog on Radio 2 for the last few years. He really was a DJ of my generation, and sad that he's been forced to give up because of his health. :(

Chris, I was just looking at the link & saw that the seats & lids are separate items so can, therefore, be placed in whatever position the builder prefers.

You can't build them with the seat up then.
:-\

The special ordnance the Skyraider dropped on Vietnam was the pan only.  No cistern.

Although that box art is incorrect regarding the rest of the load out.
