The Wooksta!

Quote from: NARSES2 on October 28, 2024, 06:29:28 AMNoted. I don't mind picking them up if they have them (I'll be looking for some as well) but someone else will have to take them home and then on to Bolton.

Quote from: The Wooksta! on October 28, 2024, 05:25:52 AMI'll have a word and see if John ( our club member) can bring them back.  If they're condensed down (and they will fit two to a box), it should be ok.  I'll know more on Monday.

There's a bag of resin bits for Dave, but if he doesn't get there, can either Chris or Nick pass it along to him at the London show please?  Ta.

Should be able to.

Nick

Quote from: kitbasher on October 27, 2024, 03:24:14 PMMy previous 50-50 being/not being there is now sadly deffo not there ☹️

Chris and/or Nick: As we'll be meeting up at the London show on 7 December would one of you be willing to hunt down a cheap pre-loved Airfix 1/72 B-26 Invader for me, please?

Not bothered about the age nor the decals, it's for whiffery and will be getting new markings.

Will PM about payment later this week.

I shall keep my eyes open. We'll sort the details later.

I'm happy to be the courier for taking kits to Bolton for Lee and down to London for Dave etc. Just make sure each bundle is clearly labelled  ;)

The Wooksta!

The bag for Dave is already marked thus.

Cheers Nick.

The Wooksta!

Carrier bag of stuff breaks down as follows:

Trumpeter Lightning box - Gondor
Hunter Truffles box - Gondor
Chequered Flag box - PR19 Kit
Bag resin fins - Dave
Bag Decals and Ta 152 fin - Chris

This assumes that John remembers to bring it in...

Rheged

Quote from: Rheged on October 13, 2024, 02:21:12 PMHaving managed last year, things are looking a bit wobbly this year.  Madame R is recovering well from her hip replacement but a lot  depends on this continuing.  If it turns out I can't make it, those who do attend will just have to enjoy it on my behalf!

UPDATE:   Given Madame Rheged's continuing improvement  rate after her hip replacement,  I'm delighted and somewhat relieved to announce that it looks as though I  WILL be able to attend on the Saturday, at least until mid afternoon.    Next year, as she will (I hope) be fully mobile again  I'll bring Bridget with me!

That's excellent news! We shall celebrate your arrival with cake!

Note to self: Bring cakes. And drinks and nibbles. Not Twiglets though, definitely not Twiglets  :-X

In other news: Tube strike in London on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th November for those travelling through town.

Weaver

Quote from: Weaver on September 19, 2024, 01:09:40 AMI've got a relative over from Canada starting the weekend before. In theory she should have moved on to other people before the show, but these sorts of things can often go sideways and get changed at the last moment, so I'm making neither plans nor committments, I'm afraid.

Glad I said this: my cousin's stay at this end of the country has already been extended by one day due to illness at the other end, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if it gets extended still further. Definitely not coming now I'm afraid. Not really upset since it's an expensive weekend and I've already spent WAY more than I should have done on kits this year, given my financial situation.

Good to hear
