I think I still have a vacuform MB5 kit in the stash. It would take a bunch of extra parts to make something out of it as I recall.

There were two 72nd vacform MB5s, Airframe and Falcon.  I've got the latter and it's very good, although you need to provide bits yourself.  I got mine specifically for the wings to scratch the MB6 jet fighter. Falcon also did one in 48th.

Also kitted by - 72nd, obvs!

Czechmaster.  This is an odd one, as it's identical to the Pegasus, so one came first and the other copied it.  I suspect Czechmaster as the origin as Pegasus copied other Czech kits, the Balliol, Spiteful and Swift among them.

Pegasus.  This came out in 1985.  Bagged with decals.  Basic, but a nice build.  I've done quite a few, with one to finish and 4 more tucked away.

There was a French resin one at some point, but this may have been a copy.  I have one, plus another sans fuselage.

Skybirds.  Nicest to that point.  Cockpit a bit basic and the weight of the metal in the nose caused the white metal u/c to sag.  I've one tucked away and one to salvage.

Magna. Resin with white metal. Came out around 2001 and was really nice and one of his best.  Really enjoyed the one I did and have another 4 tucked away.
Magna also released an MB2 (see also Airframe, Dujin and Merlin) and an MB3 (as did Dujin).

AZ.  I had one, and the fictional crap they released on the back of it.  Disliked it, never built either and sold them off at a loss to be shot of them.

I managed to get off my donkey today and put some decals on the P-53.

It still needs a final coat of varnish and a couple of bits touched up, but it is basically finished!

That does look amazingly 'American' Alastair.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

That's the effect I was looking for

A second Gloss coat and a couple of little touch-ups and it's done.

It looks great! I love the "almost" P-51 look. It also has Skyraider vibes.

A few more pictures to show where I am with this build, probably the last before Telford

That looks so good! It makes me want to get the vac form one and try it. Trick is to get some parts to finish it.

I just checked. It's 1:72th scale by a company called Airframe.

Looking back at this picture I realize that the exhausts are a little off. They had fallen off when I picked the model up so I had hurriedly reattached them for the photo.

So something else that needs done by the end of Thursday.

The color and markings were taken from one of the Tamyia P-51 boxings although I have changed the serial number and the individual aircraft code letter.
