Got me thinking of a P-51 with a contraprop now
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I did a fleet air arm one a while back, a Griffon powered one.

A Griffon powered P-51? Coooer, please post a link Chris.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Easy to realize with some donors from a late Spitfire kit from Special Hobby...  ;D It not only offers the contraprop as option, but also fairings above the exhaust stubs that easily convert the engine into a Griffon.

Great looking model, it's a shame many superprops got stalled because of jet engine development.  One question though, why not extend the blue on the nose all the way back past the exhaust pipes?  It does look a might strange to have it stop in the middle of them.

The original scheme did do that but it was also on a panel line from under the nose that was in line with the rear of the exhausts. The aircraft this is based on has a vertical panel line where the blue ends. The backstory will say the erks were lazy and just painted the panels, only the erk was me.

Okay that would make sense.  It certainly looks odd though
