It's a Land Rover, NOT a Jeep . Like a Jeep, but for gentlemen.

It was a prop, he was one of the great British comedians/magicians of his generation.

^^^ this. He portrayed a bumbling magician who was always surprised that his tricks worked, and he laughed at his own jokes. I still can't help but laugh out loud when I see clips of him.

Apparently, when he was at the height of his fame in the UK he was asked to go to The States to demonstrate his act to some big-wigs. Apparently they just didn't understand the humour....

The average American just doesn't get British humor in general.  Even the subtle satire of Benny Hill's burlesque slapstick is lost on them.

Benny Hill was hilarious! But on various shows I just didn't get the well dressed guy walking through a field until the grass gets short and you see he has no pants on. ????

Now this makes me giggle just remembering the sketch

I was at RAF Mildenhall back when I was in the reserves. I was watching TV one night and I believe it was called the Eastenders. The short fat guy was dressed as Batman and the tall skinny guy was Robin. It was all about their attempts to get to a costume party which turned out to be a funeral. Hilarious!

That was an episode of 'Only Fools and Horses', and one of the best too.

'Eastenders' is a completely different programme, a soap opera in fact.

Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

To be fair, they were both set in the East End, so... ;)

No "Fools and Horses" was South of The River - Peckham. Not to far from me  ;)

Now I never expected to see the word "subtle" and Benny Hill in the same sentence  ;)  ;D
