Thanks!

I will send you a PM when I get there myself so you know which room I am in, or the bar or where ever.

Quote from: The Rat on November 03, 2024, 05:06:47 PM......I'll have to hit up Hobbycraft in Telford for things I don't want to pack, like some paint, glue, and maybe a few other things, and work on the final product at the hotel and/or at the display table.

Dedication, love it!

I always find it difficult to work on models when at a show while others get stuck into a new purchase.

The Wooksta!

Not an issue I've had a problem with. It can relieve boredom, especially towards the end of a show*, when one has spent enough and seen everything one wishes to see.

* Or at 9.30am at the last Scale Scotland I attended in 2022. What a dismal show...  One go round and I wanted to go home.  Many of the Tyneside crowd felt the same.  It didn't help that the club's resident know-all/gobshite thought I was his best mate.  I wanted to tell him to hadaway and bollards.

Anyway, the courier has the bag of gifts mentioned upthread and has instructions to pass said sack to either Martin or Chris on Saturday am. The contents are marked for the relevant recipients.

I'm here, ensconced in room 418, which is confusing to me because it's on the 3rd floor. Now, back 'ome, where the moose and the polar bears roam, room numbers correspond to the floor number. Stand by for a sad tale of how I wound up here, I'll probably start a new thread somewhere.

Is that an American Continent 3rd floor, or a Brit/Euro 3rd floor?  ;D

They're not the same.........................

Floor plan has been printed, and stands I need to visit noted   In checking I knew where Eduard are situated I noticed that Special Hobby are next door to them, could get expensive  ;)

Tyneside's table is very close to ours, so no major excursions required
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Good plan with the plan, I think I may print one out on A3 since I can, it could be useful that size.   I also agree re Eduard and Special Hobby being next door to each other.

I was excited, but I'm afraid I won't be at Telford this year.   My mother in law is currently in hospital in Carlisle, and Madame and I may be on our way there in the next 48 hours.

Never mind, there's always next year  and Bridget says she fancies coming too!    She reads a proportion of the posts on this site and , in her own words, "....is continually surprised and charmed at how  well behaved  contributors are...."

Same here. My mom is 94 and I worry about her. At least she's close by.
