My Kinetic 1/48 F-16XL. Probably going to be RAF. Isracast SUFA conversion set from ebay, gave me the avionics spine I wanted to fit. Probably going to be overall grey/green camo possibly in 617 Sqn markings.

Saw the photo and was hoping it was going to be a Sufa XL.  Ah well, carry on!

One of those is on my to do list in 1/72. I have the kits, I just need to do it.

This is going to look very cool.

The Israelis didn't get the F-16XL, they did it to their SUFA and got the F/A-16W...  ;)

Wing tips and those pods at the trailing edges don't look quite standard XL either.

That's cause the control surfaces are separate parts in the kit... ;)

Absolutely love how that turned out Rui  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Thank you, mate!
I did get a Whiffie with it so i guess i can consider it one of my best so far... but i do have ideas for an updated version of it...
I think that the Israeli SUFA XL is a pretty obvious whiff cause it could've been real if the XL had won that competition instead of the Strike Eagle so i didn't wanna use the XL kit to start with.
The F/A-16W would've been a conversion of the SUFA, designed and built specifically for the Israelis.  ;)

...
Now it looks like an XL wing. It did look pretty interesting without the control surfaces - but perhaps not as functional.

This is definitely going to be interesting to see finished.  Have you thought about loadout at all yet?  Ground attack or air-to-air?  If it's going to be an RAF plane, you might consider swapping out the standard Sidewinders for some ASRAAMs -  whether it's going to carry bombs or not.

Not sure if its going to be a mud mover or air defence yet. I like the idea of wraparound camo, but I'm also drawn to the AD greys. I do know that with its increased internal fuel load, its only going to have a centerline drop tank.
