Chris told me that I couldn't leave SMW without a kit, so here is the one I splurged on.

Instructions are all in French, but if they were in perfect English they would still be fairly bad.

It has an option for an extendable/retractable radiator, but part 23 will be ignored and the rad just glued into place.

Markings to be determined.

Nah, no surgery on this one. I was thinking of floats, but I don't have any small enough.

That box art rings a bell.  I think I may have built one of these way back when.  No memories of it other than that nagging feeling of familiarity.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

This thing is horrible. Chris, you owe me!  ;D

I'm not digging into the decal stash for this one, the kit decals are going on it. Not going to waste decals on something that is just a cut above scrap plastic.

It's a 1960s Heller kit, what did you expect?  ;D  ;)

Yeah I'm pretty suspicious of any Heller kits based on the few I've dealt with.

You cannot remember the times when us mature men were doing our aircraft modelling carving mammouth tusks with flint shards.... ;D
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

I remember it well!  I can even recall seeking out suitable flint nodules and knapping them to make the shards.

At the International Mammoth Tusk Modelling society  (IMTMS) exhibition  at about that time, there was a chap produced a 1/72 Pteranodon model with a vastly extended wingspan. As I recall, it was the year that Neanderfix  models introduced their sabre toothed tiger kit.

Blimey, that IS going back a bit. That Pteranodon kit was a real swine to build, all those teeny weeny bones.  :(
