If there was a ranking system for Tetris Rick I think I'd be getting close to grand master by now ..once the Ventura is built that will be another big box gone

The Wooksta!

Collected an Eduard Fw 190 A-8/R2 from Uncle Frank earlier.  This is the Sturmbock version, with appliqué armour on the fuselage and canopy.  I do have some etch to do it, but it didn't fit properly so I decided to just get the Eduard which has it moulded integral.

They were intended as anti-bomber but I'm going for an anti-tank version with the BFO MK 103 cannons under the wings, big prop and fan, Ta 152 fin and wheels, and the blown hood, although that is not set in stone.

Accidental Loggie

Just ordered direct from Airfix:

1/72 Phantom FG1/FGR2
1/48 Sea Fury FB11

... on the principles that you can never have too many RAF 'Toombs, I've always liked the Sea Fury, and they were both heavily reduced.

Yes, I know that Hawker's second finest aircraft is not in the One True Scale, but nobody's perfect 😸.
Converte et subvertere

The Wooksta!

The Vallejo paint turned up and it's the same sodding RLM23 that I already have in Xtracrylix...

And if casting your own bits count, there's some Spitfire internals and a Mosquito Highball bomb bay curing.  The latter is likely to end up as either 105 or 305 squadron aircraft as they were planned to get them first, before Bomber Command foisted the whole Highball scheme on to Coastal.  I'll likely recycle an old Mosquito or two for this.

I've a strange attraction for Coastal Command. It seemed to be the cast off orphan child that nobody wanted tasked with the critical mission of defeating the U-boats. It seems Coastal Command should have gotten a lot more support. Anyway, lots of whiff potential for converting aircraft to attacking U-boats. IIRC there were dive bombing B-24s at some point?

A couple of catches from my accidental Evilbay trawls.

You cannot view this attachment.

This was an unexpected catch as they're quite unusual here, and I've been contemplating getting an old Heller T.2 instead. However, this is (obviously) a much better kit, and it will be interesting to see how it will go together.

This is another not too usual kit in my area, and it's in a way more Russian that the Soviet MiG's and Sukhoi's it was designed to compliment.  However, bashing Chinese aircraft into something else has proven to be a neat way of building very believable whifs, so I'm looking forward to see what this will turn out as.
