This was an unexpected catch as they're quite unusual here, and I've been contemplating getting an old Heller T.2 instead. However, this is (obviously) a much better kit, and it will be interesting to see how it will go together.

That Sword T2/4 is a nice kit, but the PE stuff for the cockpit is SO small!  :o

I've had one in build, as G-VTOL, for ages and still not done the cockpit as yet. (sigh)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Quote from: kerick on November 23, 2024, 12:13:12 PMI've a strange attraction for Coastal Command. It seemed to be the cast off orphan child that nobody wanted tasked with the critical mission of defeating the U-boats. It seems Coastal Command should have gotten a lot more support. Anyway, lots of whiff potential for converting aircraft to attacking U-boats. IIRC there were dive bombing B-24s at some point?

Dad was Coastal Command, 209 Squadron, and you're right about the whiffing potential. Did one myself a couple of years ago. Link to article: Fairey Battle IIA

A Hasegawa 1:72 AV-8B Plus, to potentially become an RAAF aircraft some day.

The Wooksta!

Not quite an addition - I've had it since May '96, having bought it at the Birmingham show - more of a rediscovery.

Dujin Messerschmitt Me 208/Nord Penguin

Having confirmed that I hadn't sold it it on, I knew I had it somewhere in the loft but have overlooked the box it was in, thinking it an Me 262.  Anyway, having had cause to do some long overdue tidying in the loft, it turned up. And I was very happy to find it.
Looking at the drawings in with it, wouldn't be too much work to convert from a Bf 108 either.  Just needs a new wing.
