...and this is more or less the current "live status" on the work bench, with some details added and the prop in place; a few things are still to mend and come, but painting the thing is coming closer:

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

the mental image of that appearing out of a giant snow cloud is rather terrifying, as you know that if its pointing at you, its got no breaks, and no inclination to go round.   :o

looking very good so far
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

In the meantime, things are ready for paint. First task is an overall coat of matt green - RAL 6003 was the best I could find in my stock, but there will be shading, whitewash and snow on top of it, so that it's only a kind of primer. Changes the thing's look a lot, though - and adds to the "orcish" impression.  ;) It also has a serious Steampunk appeal?

Your painting space (I'm assuming that's what it is) looks like some sort of harsh alien landscape! ;D  ;)
Has a life outside of What-If & wishes it would stop interfering!

Yeah. At first glance I thought it was a diorama of the completed model and I was dumbfounded, it didn't correspond with what Dizzy had announced.. :o   ;D

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thank you. Looking foward to see it in its four skis for the first time!

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Well, all ingredients are Soviet, so that the "style" is well retained. The thing has almost been finished (the stance on skis is surpsingly good, too!), but scenic pics will take a while to materialize - I hope for the next weekend.
