- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

A proper scratch-build! Kudos to you, mat!

Taking a first look of the wings. They will be based on the remains of a Airfix Ki-46 Dinah, which long ago lost its engines and nacelles to ......... something!

The things we do to helpless plastic kits! Carry on!

The wings are getting into shape. New wing tips once belonged to some old Airfix Bf 109Gs, that were crashed by my son many years ago.

The wing is finished and the fuselage has been put into shape - and it turnes out that the Shavrov will be armed.

Started on the build of the engine. The only prototype of the Shavrov Sh-7 was powered by a radial engine. But the first plans were for an inline engine. And I like the look of that.

Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Same.
The trouble with that is, I spend a disproportionate amount of time searching for 'just the right piece', after remembering just where on earth I put it...
And sometimes I use whatever comes to hand, or scratch something, and find the ideal part after the build has progressed past the stage when I need it. :banghead:

I've got ..like all of us..the main stash..then I have my parts stash ..but then there's the scrap stash ...with all the sheet styrene I use and hack up I throw out very little of it ..having a heap of different sized off cuts saves time and waste .

True and same... but oftentimes I will still use a bigger piece, as sometimes you simply can't hold the small bits to work on them. :-\  *sigh*
