That's what led to the disaster at Pearl in 1941  ;)
No, it was Michael Bay, Jerry Bruckheimer and Randall Wallace that caused the Pearl Harbour disaster. Oh, hang on, are we talking about the same thing! :o

You think maybe it was a Japanese strike force launching a sneak attack on Mornington Marina?   :o

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

A C-130 in what looked like pretty light grey colour. Swedish is my first guess but it could be other.

I didn't bring binoculars  ;D

edit:
oh... there was also a Swedish Gulfstream that looked a little lumpy.

A  Spitfire, common around my 'country home' area as it's right under the flight path from Sywell to Duxford, but an unknown Mark as it was too high. But it sounded more Merlin than Griffon.

While away for a short break nr Salisbury there were numerous invisible aircraft buzzing by overhead, sounding like turbo-props so they may have been Texan IIs from Boscombe Down, which was just a few miles away.

And then this Wildcat came over a LOT lower with the observer hanging out of the door! Sadly my shot of him was way out of focus, so this more general view will have to do.

Yes, surprisingly. They're meant to be a battlefield recce machine and yet the enemy will be able to hear them coming for miles! We could hear that Wildcat well before it came into view over the trees.

I reckon it's the BERP rotors as Lynxes were nowhere near as loud.

New Jersey resident here.  For the record, despite being out at night, all I've seen are planes, helicopters, the Moon, Venus, Jupiter, and stars.  No drones.  It's getting ridiculous and nigh impossible to sort the truth from paranoia.  I just hope none of the yokels decide to go "Wars of the Worlds" on some lights in the sky.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

I've heard that someone posted a photo of a fleet of drones...

It was the constellation Orion.  :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:

Just the occasional Blackhawk and a west bound business jet. It had straight wings so maybe an older Learjet or a Cessna Citation. No tip tanks.

I just missed visiting there once!  Went to the next town over on a job interview, only later realized I was almost on top of the infamous site.

So many videos now of the planes flying into Newark/JFK/Laguardia/Teterboro.  At least people are finally looking up, maybe they'll become interested in astronomy.

They need to get out of the light pollution of the metro area to actually enjoy it.
