I am looking for a pair of Squadron Badges/Crests for Thirteen Squadron Royal Air Force. The kind with the wreath around it, scroll at the bottom and crown at the top. About 3mm in height   ;D

Yeah, I know I am asking for a lot in that, but if you don't ask etc, etc, etc

Ah right, contrary to what I said elsewhere, the Airfix PR9 ones are just a plain 'Winged Bomb' in black on a pale blue circle. No wreath or crown etc. :(
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Possibly on that sheet with the sqdn crests on

Not only are you able to find kits and books, decals too

Now ordered along with an AZ MB.5, well the decals needed company.

EDIT: I have added the 1/48 scale version of the decal set to my Hannants "wish list" as that size could be useful in the future.

Might be too modern for a late 50s type.  I'll have a look through the decal boxes later.

They should be fine considering the scale and the fact that the basic design of the squadron crest has not changed since the RAF formed.

There are some on the Model Alliance TSR.2 sheet, in-between the squadron bars. They should be easy to seperate.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thanks but not of any use as I don't have any of their TSR.2 decal sets, Xtradecal though.....

Modeldecal 101 has a 13 Sqn Tornado.  The actual bars are too small for 1950s but the Sqn emblem is a decent size.  I have quite a few of that sheet, bought just for the 607 Sqn markings so willing to part with the relevant bits.
A shout on Britmodeller might get you the 48th bars?

I can send you them, I probably won't use that option.  Send me a PM and I'll post them to you.

Doing some tidying, I discovered that the Airfix Tornado GR4 had 13 Sqn markings.  Admittedly, these were when Heller were doing the decals, so whether they'll hold together is a moot point.  Anyhoo, whilst the decal sheet only gives enough bars to do a side, there are two sets of decals in the box, so there'd be enough for one aircraft.  9 Sqn is the other option.  Send a PM if interested and I'll try to get them in the post next week.
