Thank you.

Had a little modelling accident. I was rearranging my stash so that builds I intend for this year, I changed things, so that I can get hold of the boxes more easily. While I was part way through doing that I needed a box from another room. So I exited the den which involves opening the door as far as it will go, the corner of a bookshelf means that it will not open fully, I need the room to be about two inches wider, so when I did this I had an aerial attack by a mostly built 1/144 DC-10! No real damage to me or the model other than to loosen the nose weight inside the fully enclosed fuselage  :banghead:
No idea yet how to fit the weight back in position. I did realise how this unfortunate event took place. The footprint of boxes on top of the bookcase that prevents the door from opening fully has to be below a certain size under the height of the top of the door or when the door is opened it pushes against the stacked boxes causing all sorts of problems such as short test flights of DC-10's. The problem was sorted by readjusting the order of the boxes on the bookcase to remove the conflicting requirements of both boxes and door.
I will be renaming one of my build threads when I restart to Tri-Toom. This is the life span of one particular RAF Phantom in the three different colour schemes and three different Squadrons that it operated in, all on the one base with the third all-grey aircraft in a vertical climb. I hope to get it finished for Telford, well that's the plan, fingers etc crossed.

If the weight isn't lead, perhaps drill a small hole and inject some CA glue? if it is lead, try white glue.

I am thinking along those lines, no rush though as that build has been stalled for years.

I have actually done something productive today, other than let the cat out in the small hours of the morning. I changed the sprung hinges for the cooker lid!
This then ended up in me having to clean the glass lid which then led to the metal splashback needing cleaning. I washed out the cloth I used in the sink along with some general-purpose cleaner, so the water started out a light yellowish green, and ended up a very muddy brown  More cleaning of the cooker tomorrow, possibly.

About a week since my last post here, that's a week of being back at work with no normal work to do. Started to be cross-trained on another equipment which is more involved than what I have been doing for the last seven and half years, so fairly interesting.
I decided to upgrade my computer, so I now have an HP OMEN 25L tower next to me. This will hopefully future-proof me computer-wise for a long time as well as letting me play the next version of my favourite computer game.
One slightly annoying thing I have seen over the last couple of weeks is the easter eggs for sale in my local supermarket  :banghead:
So now that I have finished my late lunch I am going to swap over the graphics cable into my monitor and start up the new PC. I do have a KVM on-route to me so there will be far less hassle once everything is set up, I hope.

OMEN? Does it play Ave Satini when you start it up?

Not sure as I don't have speakers set them up yet. I did set the pass code as 666 though.

I actually got some good news today, and a bit of a surprise too. The story starts long long ago in a distant land known as the living room, in the time before COVID. I was sitting next to my then fiance, and we were both eating. Suddenly I found that I was trying to eat something harder than the food. Parts of a tooth had decided to disintegrate.  :banghead:
Over the next few days, weeks and months, even more fillings and tooth came loose, I got an appointment at my dentist and some treatment was carried out, mainly removing more bits and eventually the remains of a tooth or two. The last was quite difficult as what there was remaining of those teeth was not exactly in the best condition and they were proving difficult to extract as they were somewhat fragile. Add an obnoxious young female dentist into the mix and I was not having a great time.
So, post-COVID and dental checkups are back on the cards. the obnoxious dentist had left and the new one wanted to see about removing the remains of the teeth from a couple of years previously. I was not too keen on undergoing similar treatment to previously, there are several cartoons and comedy sketches where the dentist is energetically trying to pull the patient's skeleton out through the mouth and you get the idea of how I had felt during the earlier treatment. I asked for options! I was told that there was only one place in Scotland that would perform such treatment under a general anaesthetic although it could be some time until the treatment could be done.
This morning I received a text from my dentist with instructions to contact the relevant Hospital to set up a consultation appointment! So I now have next Tuesday off work as my appointment is just before lunch in Glasgow. I am thinking of taking the train there and the bus back as I would not be under any time constraint to get home as much I am for getting there. No idea when it will all happen but it is finally going to happen  :drink:

This sounds to be a "good thing"  I was at the dentist today, and had a very elderly filling replaced before it fell apart completely.  Fortunately I have an extremely good dentist!

I wish I had ANY sort of dentist!

Mine struck me, and a whole bunch of others off their lists just because some change in the NHS allowed them to. And of course there aren't any other NHS dentists in the area.

Lucky. I have yet to find a dentist down here that takes my dental insurance (yes, its a separate thing here in the States), and the last time I saw one was 8 years ago this past September to have a crown remounted.  I cracked a tooth this past summer, but it and its neighbor back are pretty much all amalgam and minimal enamel so it hasn't really bothered me.

That sucks - no such thing as 'First, Do No Harm', huh? A really terrible example of lack of professional responsibility.   :banghead:

I think so too. I will need to see if they will remove an additional tooth which has cracked and no longer holds its crown in place. That damage was done some forty-five years ago though and is a whole different story.
