In 1930 the german meteorologist Alfred Wegener (who is today mostly remembered for in 1912 suggesting the drift of the continents) went on his last expedition to the icecap of Greenland, where he perished. His body now lies under 100 meters ice and snow.

For transportation the expedition brougth two aerosledges designed by Arvo Tervasmaa and build by the Santahamina Aviation Factory in Finland.

So now I throw myself over plasticcard and putty.

The scale is close to 1/72. I have no drawing, so I have made one, by taking a picture taken from the side and by using the know lenght scaled it in a graphic programme to 1/72. I have used this metode before using pictures of windtunnel models. Sometimes you hit it almost spot on - sometimes not so much.
The sledge is driven by an radial aircraft engine placed at the back and pusher propel.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
