Interesting!!  So much depends on the precise date of the models.  If 1915 it's a fully operational fleet, late 1918 and it has to be modelled in harbour, flying the mutineers red flags, November 21st 1918 and they are to be modelled steaming into Rosyth (under escort) and if it's after June 21st 1919 you have the makings of an underwater diorama.  As for the Jellicoe /Beatty Grand Fleet, 1914 is a fleet in Scapa, 1916 is a proportion of them sinking at Jutland and November 1918 offers  two lines of dreadnoughts escorting the Kaiser's pride and joy into Rosyth.

My understanding is that this boxing includes the 4 Konig class dreadnoughts? So, it's surely 4 identical or near identical models in the box? Now, I'm happy to stand corrected here but, that seems to me to a bit redundant. Not knocking it because I like idea of a set of four ships like this but to my (possibly limited ) perspective, I'd have thought maybe a set comprising a Konig class, Kaiser class, Seydlitz and, Derfflinger class might have been a worthwhile idea (unless of course no such kits exist?)

I'm sure it will do well though because the basic kits are rather nice and, even in such a small scale are a decent size without being too complicated.   <_<

I remember Master Box stating they were going to model every ship in the Battle of Jutland around the WWI centenary, but nothing came of it.  Hopefully there'll be enough interest that ICM will release similar sets.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

 It's a rather overlooked period of naval history (at least in model terms)

Yes, I'm not a ship modeller myself but I enjoy WWI subjects and I'd like to see more ships released. WWII and more modern subjects have dominated, it took a long while for any kits of HMS Dreadnought to come out and that's about as iconic as you can get.

I do like ICM as a company, willing to go off the beaten track while not venturing too far off it. They often produce something interesting that the big manufacturers stay away from. I kind of put them together with Miniart and Roden.

Yup. I'd like to see some pre-Dreadnaught era ships as well. You see a few at shows but they are obviously resin or even scratch built  . The whole period 1890 through 1914 is fascinating.

In regards to the belly up scuttle ships, the ICM kits can be built as full hull or waterline, so
it would be straightforward to do.

You could get two builds out of one kit!
