Scheme is Soviet.  From an I-16.
But back story will place it in Northern Ostrobothnia (historical boundaries, not the current region).

Pilot has a dark red flight suit trimmed with fur and the markings I just drew up feature a reindeer.

Transfers cleared today.  Airframe brushed with Glass Look Gauzy Coat (or whatever its called - basically Future in a small container at an inflated price).

I should get to put the transfers on tomorrow.

Fred, try looking for a Floor Polish.
I bought it as Pascoes, but it looks to have had a rebrand since then:

If it's the same product, it goes on milky but dries clear and shiny.

On the polish bizzo.. it used to be called Reckitts One Go here, but looks look the long life is the same stuff. It does work the same

Perhaps the yellow band steered my thinking. Many Finnish fighters also had green with something darker, like: https://hpns.eu/shop/clear-prop-cp72048-polikarpov-i-16-type-5-in-finnish-service-starter-kit-1-72.

Reindeer might put it in the land of Sámi, shamans, and Santa Claus.

Thanks for the floor polish tips.  I still have a couple of part used bottles of Future in my poisons cupboard.  One is tinted with food colouring though.
I also have Alclad Aqua Clear which appears to be the same thing.

That's looking great Fred...those decals are a real stand out  ;D  :thumbsup:
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

There's hairspray under the white.  I'm going for a well worn temporary winter distemper look.
