Can't tell. There isn't a big enough pic of the box top on the website to let you read the text.

If you look at Scalemates it does show the box top and other details wich says that they are both the A-3 version.

What Mossie is asking is that are the decals of the same specific aircraft at two points in it's life - ie with it's Luftwaffe unit and then later with the RAF when it's been captured.

Away from my references and I've a feeling I loaned out Phil Buttler's War Prizes some back to a guy who thinks anything he's borrowed is now actually his.

Yes, cheers Lee. Airfix have done that with a few kits recently, the 1/48 Sea King comes to mind, also the forthcoming Wessex. I think there was a Spitfire kit too?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The Wooksta!

The current 72nd Spitfire PR19 has markings for PS888 (from the first boxing in the RAF) in it's later days with the Royal Thai Air Force.  Not got one to hand, but the Ventura kit of the PR19 did the same thing.

I don't think PS888 did much flying after the Thais got it, think it was mainly used for ground instructional training.  There's a photo somewhere of one of the Thai PR19s and it's absolutely filthy.

The blurb on the box top gives the same Werks number for both schemes.

I know how that goes. Loaned out my copy of Wood's Project Cancelled, and it ended up with him insisting that it was his and that originally I had borrowed it from him.
:banghead:

It worked out in the end as it gave me an excuse to buy the second expanded edition.

Confirmed - yes they are.

They just put out an unboxing video for the Club membership pack and it shows the text clearly: same "werk no." (10259) for both schemes:

 Nice little quirk.  Something the aftermarket decal makers could pick up on, following the history of particular airframes. I think there's the odd sheet that does this already.

Yeah, I've got a 1/3rd started project that does that. Trouble is, I cannot for the life of me find decals for the 1st stage... :banghead:

For a Whiffed model doing that almost self-writes the back story, that's what happened with the PR19.

Having built the first version (Which was actually the second one..... ;D ) I was then persuaded to write the story and that generated more opportunities to build the earlier and later versions.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

There's a GB proposal in this.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The Wooksta!

I did it with a whiffed Spitfire 9e lowback.  I did the Czech and Israeli bits of it's career but not the RAF or Burmese.

Considering how long it takes most of us to build one model for a group build, building several is not really a great idea I think.

I also have a themed build of one aircraft in three stages of it's career, one model build and the other two started to a greater or lesser degree.
