Nice work ! The wee bits always bring them to life. Love the way it looks from the front.

So I hope that this is now the final print of the body work

Unfortunately, the idea of printing the windows with transparent resin did not work. After curing, they are not really transparent anymore. So lets see what is Plan B.....

The only thing I found is this VERY old Fererro Rocher ox. Must be at least 30 years old. Maybe the material is too thick, I have to see.

A first test with this material, its quite tricky to handle.

Adding some priming paint to the body work. Testing if the interior fits into it.

Nice bit of out of the box ..or using a box thinking mate 🤔 😅
I'll bet that plastic was pretty brittle...it's a main reason I've got none of those left .
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .

Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Moving in the right direction! Clear plastic seems to have it own set of issues.

Yeah ..clear plastic is not been kind to me in the past.
Happily I've been able to avoid using it 😌

I think the biggest one is that it's the natural state for styrene, without any of the usual colourings and rubberizers added, so therefore it's a lot more brittle.
Which makes me wonder how flexible the sheet stuff you can buy is...

Like most styrene, it depends on how thick it is. I have some thin clear styrene sheet that's basically as flexible as white styrene sheet of the same thickness (it does tend to crack/craze slightly under the blade when being cut, though)..

The interior of the snow tractor is now completed, including a little steering wheel. Besides the wheel, this was one printed part.

The body works is in the airbrush cabin now

Found some other transparent material which is thinner than what I tried so far. Have to see if this can be glued and worked with.

Contact cement, or a plastic strip holding it in.

nönöbär

The "new" transparent material worked ok, so I can now start with the final assembly.

After painting the body work, I added the decals and air brushed the finish. After that the windows were installed and the interior of the vehicle was installed. Next will be putting it on the chassis and add all the smaller parts.

The Snowtractor should have been unarmed, but as Greenland gets a bit into the focus right now, there will be maybe an armed version of it as well. This will be an optional add on.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
