Build a kit, paint a kit, put model on display. Enjoy. Repeat as often as I feel like.

Continue with my "What if the Shorts, Belfast was never produced" theme! 😂,. It will necessarily be a fairly small collection but, I have already just about completed my Roden 1/144 C-133B Cargomaster. To follow :
A & A Models C-141A
Roden C-141B
Antonov An-22. OK, a tad unlikely but, it would look gorgeous in the sand/stone /black finish 😉😂.

I'll be finishing my C-141B in standard RAF three tone green/grey and, a second C-133B in the same finish.

With that little collection out of the way, I have a couple more C-133 kits to do. One is the A version with the Thor missile and, another B version. Along with a second C-141B,they will be in S E A camouflage.

Another big lifter will be a second AN-22 in that wonderful "fields and meadows" Swedish camouflage.
I've got a Zvezda IL-76 and, Roden AN-12 but, I've not decided what to do with them yet!😅.

I've several Academy B-47 kits so, I figure at least one in "raspberry ripple" finish, one RAF RB-47 and, one  USAF RB-47 in camouflage finishes plus a B-47E  in S E A finish. None of this natural metal crap.....! 😂
Busy year ahead.

Two builds the C-161 and the Lockheed C-130 L-400 are feasible this year. So too is the creation of my 00 gauge model railway layout. Baseboard and track laid which will be updated several times throughout the year. I'm hoping for a 8 x 5 foot layout on two levels.

It appears that I will have a lot of time on my hands before I get a permanent site so I think that I can build my version of the Lockheed Hercules Amphibious Project using the Shorts Sunderland and a C-130. The Sunderland will get a rear loading ramp, new wings, turboprop engines, a landing gear, new tail section and a new cockpit. They will probably be both 1/72 Italeri kits.

Now that I know I can remove the engines on the Heller 1/72 Transall C-160 and there was a proposal for a turbofan version I would go down the AEW route. I'll probably buy three more, one MPA and the other one maybe a stretch fuselage as the instructions for the installation of the C-130J  nacelle on the Oz Mods set has photos of a hand-built stretch C-130J with diagrams. This was another option for the C-160 as a passenger airliner. The large fuselage side door does have a hinge so if it was in the open position some detailing could be used.

It's would seem plans change in our world faster than the weather..now ive got a twin engined Herc planned with two huge jet engines but now because I brought a really cheap 72nd A-10 for the original Herc idea ..which changed  ;) ...ive beena thinking again   <_<.
A twin turbo prop A-10
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

The proposed Transall C-161, getting hold of a 1/72 ATL-98 Carvair vacform kit is very hard. I have already used one on an existing build but I don't think I can use it for this model. So I'm thinking along the lines of the Mach2 A.W. Argosy or the vacform kit, kitbashed with a C-160.
Roden does the 1/144 ATL-98 Carvair and you can get a 1/144 C-160.
I'm not too sure if Nord ever came up with a twin-boom C-160 but if the parts can be manipulated it would be an interesting whiff. 🤔

So I was in the middle of two Saro F.177s, when I suddenly started drawing the English Electric P.8 in CAD to 3d print. Once those three are done I'll push on with a Shorts PD.17.

After that who knows....

In the past I have tried kitbashing the Revell/Monogram 1/72 Convair B-36 with a B-52G, it worked apart from the wings but what if I had used the Contrail B-36D kit. I'd just need the fuselage section to fit over the top of the B-52G and plastic card pieces to firm up the new fuselage. The nose could resemble the YB-36A or a front loading cargo aircraft.
The B-36 wings when glued together resemble the B-35 flying wing, another project but the engines will be changed.

B-36 wings on a mondo cargo aircraft in the style of the KC-97. Maybe some scale o Rama involved.

Wouldn't that be an XC-99? Or are you planning something more radical?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Boeing thought of using a stretched C-97 with either the wings from the B-47 with four engines from the B-52 or using the wings from a B-52. Definitely going to need to get the portions to work

Boeing Model 473-29

Been looking at the 1/72 Italeri C-27J Spartan as a platform for a AEW version, the real world did get a pair of Rolls-Royce Tynes and a four engined could be possible.
A revised Lockheed Sea Hercules using the Shorts Sunderland as the donor kit.
London has quite a few historical ships moared along the River Thames and having been on most of them this would be an interesting project.

The Wooksta!

Consolidating the stash in the one location and weeding it out.  Something I really have to do as I have more than I could ever build in one lifespan (of a Timelord). And that's just the Spitfires.

So we can expect a bumper 'Wooksta Stash Reduction' sale post later this year 😉?
