Brooklands Museum have taken over the remains of the half-built P.1121 prototype from Cosford, and it's now been delivered to them. Not clear what they intend to do with it yet, but simply putting it on display would be an improvement.

Assemble what they have, let Airfix scan it and by SMW2025 Airfix will announce a brand new 1/72 kit of it.

There's a plan for building one out of wood and paper at http://www.ffscale.co.uk/plans13.htm

About time, Cosford consistently refused to do ANYthing with the poor thing.

I might be persuaded to build my X-Craft vacform P.1121 one day...............

I wish I'd had the money to buy an S&M one when they were still around.

They could put together what remains still exist and fill out the rest with a simple metal framework to illustrate just how big it would have been.

I will be down to Brooklands this year at some point.

Good to hear its gone to a good home.

Gives me a reason to finaly get around to visiting Brooklands

I was quite excited when I heard about this, putting it on display would be great, maybe at least connecting the nose to the fuselage if feasible. I will definitely make visit in the summer if it's not still covered up with tarpaulins.

I might also pull out one of my Whirlybird P.1121s with the added resin bits. I used to stock the S&M one but never kept one, the pattern maker told me it was made on a tiny budget, and Mel told him to use the Project-X vacform as the basis.

I heard the same from Mel him self once.
He must have learnt his lesson after the 1/144th viscount over production screw up.

Brooklands is excellent. You can easily spend a whole day there.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The closest I've been to Brooklands was filling up with petrol at the Tesco. It's inside the circuit / airfield and you get a good view of the banked track across Barnes Wallis Drive

Good collection of vehicles and motorbikes as well as aircraft.

I'm no petrolhead but the Napier Railton is to die for!
