Dalgety is a small town on the Snowy River in NSW which was once considered as the location for Australias' capital.  That location was rejected in favour of Canberra...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Dalgety is also a town in Scotland      17th Earl of Moray donated a portion of his land to the Crown, which built an airfield there in 1917 as a base for the Royal Naval Air Service.  This became HMS Merlin  which was an aircraft maintenance  centre.      A series of radioactive objects have been found on the shoreline of Dalgety Bay since the 1990s. The objects come from an eroded landfill that contains debris from Second World War aircraft that originally had radium dials.

Now I know the third kit needed for this concoction is en route, and I've finished the proposal drawings (and what a job THAT was!) I can present the plan for the Dalgety.

The Dalgety was a backup proposal in case those new fangled jet engines didn't produce the somewhat mind boggling performance promises that that fellow Whittle was always spouting on about. Their AirShips asked English Electric to build an alternative piston engined bomber using largely the same airframe as the jet engined Canberra proposal, but powered by two, well proven and powerful Rolls Royce Griffons. The name of the new bomber was picked because Dalgety was an alternative city to Australia's capital, Canberra, from where the jet bomber's name was derived.

Further historical notes may be appended later on in the build.

You're quick off the mark Mr. Kerick, you spotted my post in the 5 second gap before I deleted it, having hit 'Post' instead of 'Preview', and I hadn't added the initial backstory notes then.  :banghead:  :banghead:

I couldn't help noticing that you are about to have parts for two noseless Spitfires....

You will of course be familiar with the backstory to 16 Sqn's sharkmouth Canberra B(I)8s, Kit.

Well, a 16 Sqn Canberra did indeed get props - see https://www.key.aero/forum/historic-aviation/106571-propellor-canberra

Now that is very nice.
Although ambivelent how it is a Bad Idea.. .contingencies are normally a prudent planning tool. Well used to be anyway, not so much these days it sometimes appears.

Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

The full, 1/72 scale versions of the drawings aren't all that good, but had to ne done to see if the hardware would actually fit.
