The M706 Commando will be my first military ground vehicle build and it will be the basis for conversion into the real world Portuguese Bravia Chaimite V-200 APC. This will be built and given to my dad because he drove these when he was in the army.
The DEF models resin wheels were bought cause i'll need five of them for my Chaimite build so, i'll use the resin ones on the axles and one of the kit's wheels for the spare wheel usually carried on the front.
Peddinghaus decals resin 1/72 WWII US pilots... compared to Italeri's 1/72 pilots, these look more like 1/65 or similar. They're too big for the RS 1/72 P-51H cockpit so i'll be using the Italeri figure that i've modified.
The L'arsenal 1/72 Corail Chaff/Flare dispensers for one of my Special Hobby Mirage F.1 kits and the PJ production 1/48 F-35 pilot, sadly this is probably my last purchase of this brand's products as they've shut down the company last year. :-\

Nice one mate 👍
I've got the same kit but with the 90mm gun turret ..was going to get that on to cause it was on special to build a 6 wheeled version..found out..totally different wheels and tyres   :banghead:

Probably not as much work as for a 6 wheel, this one will still require a lot of work to convert into a Chaimite but it's the closest thing available and i really wanna do it so, i'll have to try my best. I still have to buy the brass machine gun barrels It's obvious there's a lot of scratchbuilding and and PSR work in my future...

Some vehicles are just that ...ya want it ..you gotta build it .
It's the same with a machine I've always wanted ..it's never been made in 35th but one way or another ill build it ...or something which looks like it 🤔.
The machine is the M6 high speed tractor and I'm thinking using easy eight suspension..so make it a bit of a wiff ..I'll need 8 suspension units to  :o  ;)

Amendment....apparently there's 2 35th scale M6 HST models out there..both are not to be found ..one is resin ..so ouch in the price department and the other plastic with resin tracks..again ..no go .

That's a good idea, another one to add to the list! I could easily build at least three or four of these, but they're pretty big. Really simple though, few parts and inexpensive.

Should be en route tomorrow:

3 x Eureka XXL 1/35 Ammo Case for 25mm M242 Bushmaster [LAV / Stryker] (EUX-E-077) - this will give me about a dozen ammo cases for anything using the 25mm Bushmaster auto-cannon
1 x AFV Club 1/35 Stryker M1126 with CROWS-J [javelin missile turret] (AFV-AF35343) - That gives me the two that I need to complete the unit
1 x AFV Club 1/35 US Army M1296 Stryker Dragoon (AFV-AF35319) - replacing the Panda version, so I have two of the same kit by the same manufacturer (Next is to figure out what I want to do with the OOP Panda kit)
1 x DEF Model 1/35 US M1296 Stryker Dragoon Sagged Wheel set for AFV Club kits (DEF-DW35114) - see above for why these might be required

Mate ..lots of uses for that Panda kit..the turret alone could be quite useful on a wiff where a 30mm armed turret is needed..the chassis..hell bloody near endless possibilities there 😀
Also ..that kit is discontinued to it seems ..what is annoying .

A nice box from Scotland just arrived containing an Airfix Canberra B(I)6 kit, courtesy of Gondor's Model shop.

That's destined for my EE Dalgety entry for the Bad Ideas GB.

A pair of Airfix Hampdens arrived today along with s GWH 1/144 B-52G.
I was thinking about getting the new Meng 1:144 C-130 but, I figure  nearly £45 is a tad excessive

Actually that KP YAk-23 is quite a nice kit, albeit a bit basic. One of their earlier ones, but it's still got all the basic shapes etc, plus the odd thousand rivets IIRC..................
