I've got a smart phone but I keep it under control. It does have uses for looking stuff up. But I do wish it would shut up.

People say that a lot about me, for some reason...     ;D

Here in South Australia the government has banned the use of / possession of mobile (cell) phones during school hours.

There was much uproar from children, & much wringing of hands & gnashing of teeth by certain parental types.

Early results indicate higher levels of concentration in class, greater student engagement, higher levels of achievement, & youngsters are saying that they're enjoying school more, & that online (as well as in-yer-face) bullying has been greatly reduced.

Private schools are also beginning to implement the change.

Just glad I retired when I did, 18 years ago in a couple of weeks time. Mobile phones were just starting to come in, but I'd taught my No 2 to make decisions, and she knew which ones she could make, and the fact that I'd back her up if necessary, plus she also knew the very few which would need to be referred upwards. And if I'm honest none were life changing and could wait a day or so.

Anyway got a second coat of interior green on the innards of the DB-7

So empirical, real world evidence proves that the world doesn't end when kids are separated from their devices...

Progress is being made. I've finished the painting of the DB-7's innards and indeed they are fitted, and they go in quite nicely. The proof of the pudding however will be when I try and join the fuselage halves. The engine nacelles are also fitted to their respective wings, they fit well over the undercarriage which because of its rather complicated nature has to be fitted to the wings before they are put in place. However there will need to be some psr on the nacelle/wing join.

I've also started on the KP Fw 190 and first impressions are not good I'm afraid. Soft plastic, thick sprue gates (some in awkward places) and thin flash on most parts, the mould halves are obviously ill fitting. As for the instructions ? The guy doing them has obviously fallen out with the guy who tooled the parts. Fit ? To be honest I've only joined the fuselage halves at the moment, and that was ok, plus you can fit the cockpit insert in place from underneath, which is useful as if you follow the instructions there lies the path to insanity.

The box proudly proclaims "New Tool 2025", well if it said 2005 I could believe it.  No way is it anywhere upto current standards, which is difficult to understand as the same company's Me 109's (albeit under the AZ Lable) are superb  :-\  So don't waste your money. I may well get the Airfix Fw 190 A8/F8 just to build as a comparison ?

Progress continues, indeed it has reached such a point that I need to consider what kit will have the honour of progressing from stash to bench ?  ;D

Aouch! Another dramatic, possibly even life changing decision. Right there on your doorstep! ;D
I shall be looking forward to hear where your mojo carries you this time.

I think you should set up a poll.  Let the people decide!

I'm sorry Dave, but how do I decide which kits in the Stash get into the Poll ? Or are you suggesting that I go away for a few months and list all of them and then get the populace to decide ? Do I take this suggestion as a hint, or what ?  ;)  ;D

OK.  Let's get started.

How many kits are in your stash?

How many builds are currently under way?

How many builds have stalled (so consider them part builds)?

Would you rather focus on a new build next, finish a current build or return to a part build?

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Go to your stash.
Start counting at any point.
Build the 23rd kit.
