Quote from: jcf on March 26, 2025, 08:31:33 AMAs it turned out, the major issue with the trimmer was that it was unable to move under its own power and had to be towed. Various solutions were proposed including a train of carriers used as tractors - two or three depending on conditions, and tanks. A turretless Valentine was determined to be the best answer due to its relatively low profile.

And the fact the Vanentine could move on its own would help immensely to  ;D

Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Till it was decided that it was better and simpler to mount the Flakvierling directly on the turretless Valentine and dispense with the Carrier....  :banghead:
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Today I raised the gun mounting frame.
I assembled all the suspension parts modifying where necessary to get all the wheels on the deck.
I had already glued all the track sections together yesterday.  I used Epoxy which looks like it'll do the job if I am gentle with it.
And I began sanding and scribing the scratched up ammo boxes.
