Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

For a long while now you've been able to glue Tamiyas tracks with ordinary plastic glue ...pretty sure the Brens tracks can be too..I know the Cromwells track can be and those 2 kits are pretty close together..I think..haven't had coffee yet this morning  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

And then the whole shebang would tip over backwards!  :o
;D  ;D  ;D ...yep 😆
The gunner would need to have been a very quick individual I'll bet to be able to jump clear

None available to common man I think Kit

I once acquired some neoprene glue from a friendly cobbler.  It would stick most things to most other things, but it smelled foul and was very slow setting.

The old Airfix tank tracks were vinyl, weren't they?

I only ever built one, that was the Buffalo amphib., but even then I was Whiffing 'cos mine had a turret on it. Still got it somewhere....................

Tracks extended and painting started.  Brushing on SMS lacquer was successful although it dries super fast.  OK on tracks but you wouldn't want to brush paint a larger area.
As it dries so fast I also chipped the added track with metallic acrylic.  Rust and black wash tomorrow after which I am hopeful it will blend in with the rest.
You can still see the added portion in the pic.

Additional armour will be fitted to protect the two loaders who (the loaders seats having been removed from the gun mount) stand in the back.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

This is completely bonkers yet beautiful! I don't see how it could move under its own power very far unless it was being towed (while under power).

If there was a pros and cons list for this the pros list would be very very short.. the list for the cons ..substantially longer  ;D  ;D
The perfect build 👌 😍

This thing is nuts! The road wheels look like they came off a bicycle! Love it!

Don't be ridiculous.  Carriers were powered by Ford flathead V8s.  Fine engines which powered many a hot rod and speed racer.  Surely they'd have no problem coping with a doubling in gross vehicle mass...  :-\

Nothing but interruptions this weekend.  Didn't get nearly as much done as I expected.
However I did glue the magazines to the guns and the reload boxes to the gun mount and the six loose mags Tamiya give you onto the top of the engine.
I also scratchbuilt more armour as mentioned above.
And I finished gluing the first track and started gluing the second.

Mr Chalk and Mr Cheese says.. use the Resicast tracks. They actually look like what they are supposed to look like.

Bit of a veteran with those tracks with a number of carriers under the belt. They work, being very easy to work with and generally bend where you want them to without hot air or water.
They do give you extra bits so it should work out, you only look to be be around 2 links out and that is due to the change of angle to indicate the load and not compressing the springs.

Still a bonkers idea.. but really liking how you are getting it working

Tracks are fine.  Problem is the installer...

No progress today.  Took Mrs z for a chemo infusion.  That's 2 out of 8.
