I have started with a new concept to push the 163 one step forward .
At 1946 it was converted into a two engine jet fighter !

It's a Land Rover, NOT a Jeep .
Like a Jeep, but for gentlemen.

But wouldn't that make it twice as dangerous as the 163?  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

More Speed .
More Range.
More weapons
I think this could fly supersonic ?

But would the pilot survive the landing?  ;D

I am liking where this is going, and shall be watching with interest.
The dogs philosophy on life.
If you cant eat it hump it or fight it,
Pee on it and walk away!!

Jets instead of rocket power is one way to help the pilot stay alive....im liking this  ;)  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

So...

...undercarriage?  or two more skids under the wing engines?

And will it retain the rocket motor?

Fred

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Rocket motor for climb to altitude and then switch to the jets for the attack on the bomber stream and return to base. If it retains the skid landing gear maybe they found a sloution whereby they could flood the fuel tanks with something to stop any remaining rocket fuel going "BOOM" on landing ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Well no T-Stoff/C-Stoff as fuel, so less chance to go boom, but an engine out may get the pilots attention!

Love it!

I like where this is going.

It's got ne thinking of a Luft 46 combo of rocket for climb and pulse jet for sustained flight.

Whatever.
