You know how sometimes you keep hearing and seeing the same name popping up in different places which puts it in your head so you just have to buy a kit of it...

So today a box arrived from BNA containing a 1/35 AFV Club Long Tom.

Along for the ride was a 1/48 Tamiya M5 Stuart and a 1/72 Jays Model Kits Tempest Mk.1 conversion set.

The Tempest set is an injection moulded fuselage and vac formed canopy intended for use with the Heller Tempest Mk.5.  I don't have a Heller Tempest Mk.5 but I am sure I can make some wings fit.  Maybe those from the Academy Tempest Mk.5, mayne those from something else.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Ah right, thanks. I thought it might have been a US supplier who did them.

1/72 Dora wings Bloch 151 arrived today, courtesy of a special offer on the bay of E. Whilst not successful in the RW, I'm sure it can receive an upgrade or two to help improve that reputation ;)

Someone offered me one of the old plastic art Tu 20 kits from the GDR ( East Germany ) , they are in 1:100 scale and have not so small wings ....  I think i should catch that thing and put them on another Matchbox Ju 188 kit .
