Hawkman

Very nice, especially the Canadian ones - Like the AETE one in particular!

The Snow birds one may not be as What If as it looks ;)

KIWI all the way! Thanks for suggesting it, AeroDriver, and Waynos - go for it! I'd love to see a Hawk 400 with Kiwi roundels in the six positions.

KIWI! KIWI! KIWI!

Well, here they are;

For the record they are a Hawk Mk 302 of the Saudi AF who operate them in the light tactical role and a Hawk Mk 406 of the Indonesian AF, the Mk 406 is a true swing role version which also uses the PIRATE IRST which can be seen on the side of the nose. Coupled with the helmet mounted sight and off boresight AIM-9X sidewinder this makes up for anf definiviency in agility compared with more expensive types and allows the HAwk to be a truly competitive fighter - in MY universe ;)

I've included an 'underneath' shot with a very old Hawk T.1 model purely to show the larger diameter rear fuselage. Also, the Indonesian Hawk was going to be South Korean until I wrecked the decals,

AeroplaneDriver

My oh my, those are sweet looking Hawks!

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Ollie

Yes, sorry about that. I wanted the 400 to be a Kiwi fighter, like I said before, but I couldn't find any decals and after I stupidly wrecked the RoKAF decals I just found a set I could use without a repaint!

The Matchbox Hawk 200 front fuselage goes surprisingly well with the Italeri Hawk 100 and there was a point where I thought it wasn't going to work AT ALL!

also the Italeri windscreen was used with the Matchbox canopy hood because the Matchbox screen was unbelievably bad (it came out of the box cloudy and with stress fractures down it!!!). For anyone else who wants to do a similar conversion I cut off the Hawks noses level with where the intake join is so that the bottom of the canopy sits on Matchbox plastic but the rear of the canopy hood butts up against Italeri plastic, if you get my drift.

Maybe we could sort out a trade? I talk to my people, you talk to yours, bada bing bada boom, you got a Kiwi Hawk  ;) .

Captain Canada

Wow....great stuff, Waynos !

The saudi bird is great, but I especially like the single seater.....such a tough looking little bird. Looks really cool in those colours.

Great idea with the engine upgrade as well...just what she deserves !

CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

Long Live the Commonwealth !!!
Vive les Canadiens !
Where's my beer ?

Just thinking the Saudi 100 may not be as far fetched now Waynos with the Typhoon order, as it may be possible that the would want a LIFT hawk version to complement the Typhoon and replace their older versions bought with the Tornado's.

Doubt they would go with the EJ200 so i guess you Whif is safe however  :P
