The yellow is from the camera and lighting. Not the best circumstances for taking pictures but the are for info only.

It may be a better idea to use all the turret bits from the Hasegawa kit and then use a Revell turret on the Hasegawa one.  That was my plan, anyway.

A little progress but not much that can be seen so I thought I would use a mixture of friction and masking tape to show off what the aircraft will roughly look like when finished.









The wingspan scales out as a scale 132 feet with a length of 81 feet !

Think I will need a fairly large box to carry this around when its finished

Great project! Although still smaller, the length-wingspan ratio is not too dissimilar to the B-36, so I'd say that model is a very plausible proposition.  

Of course - it's British, it's big, so what the hell with plausibility?

First sanding of the wings where they have been extended is over.





Still got a whole load of filler to add before the next sanding session starts, probably sunday so its back to the fuselage on Saturday as on Friday its applying the next coat of filler..... in white this time

Dont forget to sand off the marker pen at the wing tips with fine paper as the stuff can leach through when painting, no matter how much primer covers its 

Going to be an impressive beasty when its done, will look good next to a normal lancaster or even a lincoln
