These days the pilot would just hit the "LAND" icon on the touch screen and the computer would do the rest.

Finally got around to removing the fins from the Zenrat supplied bombs for the pods, they appear to be roughly the same size and shape, I put them into my cordless drill to sand the paint off and add some extra shape/taper, seems to have worked well, good enough for me anyway.

Tanks have slots cut and now fit on the wingtips, they all point in different directions at the moment, not excessive but very noticeable. I hope to have that sorted and photo worthy by mid week.

Also thinking about positions for possible booster rockets, only place I can think of that may work is one on each side of the fuselage between the wings, but if the jet is not pointing straight up at the time jettisoning them could be hazardous. Maybe flight surfaces on the rockets that move on release to get them clear...

I really like the looks of this one ! Imagine watching one take off and fly away ? Wow.
