Thanks for keeping us updated. If it doesn't go ahead maybe we could all go somewhere else instead, maybe lunch in a pub somewhere?

That's assuming they haven't been shut down so the poor darlings can go back to school.

On balance, I'd seriously consider doing without a social pint if it keeps feral pupils off the streets................but I do have much sympathy for their teachers.............having been one myself.

It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

The Wooksta!

Yes, fair point but how much tax monies does the school system give to the Treasury as regards to that brought in by pubs?

Last update on their Facebook page is saying it's 50/50.

So basically they, along with the rest of us, have no idea.

Now been officially cancelled  :-\

I've booked our table for 2021 - 13th June, so hopefully that will be on.

Thanks for confirming that, Chris.  Shame (but not surprising).  Onwards and upwards to next June, then!  May even have some finished builds to bring across

Nick

Thanks for letting us know. Not too surprised really.

I will start looking at arranging a pub lunch if anyone is interested. Would the Elstree area be good or shall I try for somewhere more central in London?

Nick, anywhere that has good public transport links is good for me, preferably Overground or Underground. Central London is probably better for choice ?

What Chris says, perhaps Zone 1 is best for ease of transport?  Including south of the river in that, although stab jackets may weigh us down a bit.

Also might be a good idea to check with OGL regarding the suggested 'SIG AGM' in lieu of SMW - deconfliction would be wise.

Now't wrong with "sarf" of the river, providing you can speak the language  ;)

Both my maternal grandparents hailed from Southwark.  That plus being an expat Manc in the Smoke for a quarter of a century has exposed me to some of the local patois.

Good idea. i will be visiting MAM on the 18th (Cov & warks club night) to discuss our intentions with the management.
