FAR148

This has been my "Secret project" for the past two years. She started life as Special Hobby 1/48 scale Saab AJ37 Viggen and then I added a bunch custom parts.

To see more of her along with a list of things I did to her, look here

Thanks for looking,

Cool, the different nose looks great and the SEA scheme with USAF markings works disturbingly well.

I just had expected a two-seater in the SEAD role?  :o

But does it have enough stencils?

Good job.  Looks real.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

EXACTLY my thoughts Fred!  :o

No wonder it took him two years to built it, 6 months for the build, PSR and paint, and then another 18 months for the decals! A SUPERB job.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

It really does, doesn't it ?

That is absolutely terrific, well done sir
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and I'm glad you all like her too

From the start of this project, I knew I want her to have a $hit ton of stenciling like the early SEA F-4s. And when it came time to start decaling her, I broke up the daunting task by do it in sections. Ex, front fuselage, rear fuselage, top of wings.... All in all, it took about a week to finish all her stenciling.

Thanks again everybody

Steel Penguin

a top job on her   at a quick look just the nose, I didn't twig... then I saw the whole body and  wow!
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
