Don't think so: the window's a top-hat profile. What I might be able to do, since everything inside is black, is slither a chunk of black plastic in there as a packer between the window and the interior.

This one is really being a handful... let it know who's in charge! 😉
A similar thing happened to me on the Blue Thunder's small side windows. I've managed to pull it back ou with a bit of tape glued to it but it still isn't flush as it's supposed to be.

So next set of problems....

The fit of the cockpit roof to just about everything around it is poor, so that's meant another round of delicate sanding and filler, the latter eating more drying time. Now that the transparencies are on, I can't fit the doors until all glue and filler is dry, otherwise it risks trapping the fumes in the cabin and fogging them.

The gearbox casing, which is moulded in one piece with the cabin ceiling, and which is now very firmly glued in, turns out to not sit centrally in the engine fairing, to the point where the rotor head won't turn without catching one side of the latter. Of course, the bits that catch are the ONLY separate components on the rotor hub and were therefore at risk of getting knocked off if I, or somebody else, gave the rotors a casual spin. I carved one side of the fairing paper thin with a Dremel, but it still wasn't enough, so I've now put a packer of thin Evergreen on one side of the hole, thereby straightening the rotor head. I did investigate just raising it up, but that brought two new problems:

1. The Lynx rotor head sits very low to the engine fairing, and raising it up just looks wrong,

2. The shaft wasn't long enough to still fit securely, so I'd have had to re-engineer it.

I'm beginning to think that this kit is warped, either when it was made or in subsequent storage. The tail boom isn't straight either...

But this is the point of modeling, isn't it. When I'm putting my kit-bash together (it's not even a kit-bash, but a puzzle with 5000 parts without instructions ) it's much faster to choose SOME parts and glue them together, but takes a lot more time to find the RIGHT parts and to MATCH them. Same with the filling, sanding, refining etc.
In a 1-week build maybe 2-3 days are enough for the build, but the rest is for "fine tuning" and finishing.

Turns out that the sliding doors can be fitted or removed with both tracks in place, so I'm using them to block the doors from paint spray. They're pretty loose though, so what I might do is put tiny 'snakes' of Blu-Tack into the top track to hold them in place. I don't want ot glue them in place because it will be MUCH easier to paint French Army-style red lines on the doors if they're off the airframe.

Well, this is as good as it gets.

Off for an undercoat of rattle-can grey now...

 

Looking good!  The early skidded Lynx was such a beautiful helicopter IMO.  It's a shame how it ended up looking.  And don't get me started on that Wildcat abomination.

Decals on. Just giving them a chance to set, then there's a few bit to stick on, then that's it.

The Italeri decals were troublesome: most of them seemed strong enough, but a layer of white bits, which I think is old adhesive, came off the sheets with them. One of the Armée de TERRE decals spilt into three, but it did it in between the words, which make me wonder if the backing was separate anyway. Since the sheet didn't include any tactical codes, I did those with a sheet of white Luftwaffe letters and numbers. The font's wrong, but it's pretty generic (which is why I've got it).
