Just an update on the Biggles WW1 builds... below is what I have built this year just in WW1 alone:



And this is what I am hoping to finish by the end of the year if at all possible.



I have an Albatros that's about 95% done and should be ready to post up in the next few days.

I see you have the Airfix RE. 8 on the list. That kit still gives me nightmares from when I first attempted to fit the top wing to the struts, probably when it first came out, using tube glue

Those would be the same nightmare I still have about that kit - it very nearly put me off building biplanes for life!

Yep, the RE8 is as horrible a kit as the original was an aircraft....

It's currently on hold while I get some new O rings for the airbrush.

In the story, one of the Albatri has green streamers and its pilot strafes and kills a British pilot who has force landed. Biggles and the others vow to destroy "green streamers" and as much of the enemy Squadron as possible.

The kit is Roden - 1/72 of course.

I love the shape of the Albatross.  I need to add one to my collection of as yet unbuilt WW1 kits.
