I know it's wrong, but I quite admire that.

Meanwhile I'm still "suffering" today. I have the slight "shakes" most of the time because of one of my health issues and it was bad enough this morning that the pretty young Italian Barista (Baristress ?) even asked if I was ok   However it did calm down enough that I was able to get the final matt coat on the Hurricane, so hopefully pictures this weekend. Nothing done on the 109 however as I'm at the fiddly bits stage and need to regain full control (or what classes as that nowadays) of my peripheries for that  ;D

Barista is neutral in gender.  And good on her for being concerned.  Most folks don't want to be bothered.

Thought it was, but I liked the sound of Baristress  ;)  Yup she and all the other staff members are genuinely nice, but then I'm a good customer and of the age when I'm no longer seen as a danger  ;) Getting to the "cheerful old geezer" stage

You have to go in there often but keep the shaking down to a couple times a week to keep her level over concern up. Too much and she'll just get used to it.

Oh I pop in most mornings Kerick and quickly go through my morning paper with my Cappuccino.  ;D

As for the shaking. It's very, very rare thankfully that it's that bad. I'd just got to wound up the previous day, which led to to a poor nights sleep and various other things.

It's actually very nice when strangers do care enough to just ask for how you are, for real. I too often see the opposite, where people are taking pics or filming someone in apparent distress rather than helping out.  One or two rather expensive phones might have mysteriously fallen to their demise at such occasions, but there's no knowing how that came to be..

Anyway - this is one thing we've been very very careful to teach our kids. Ask. Help. And whatever you do, don't document someone else's pain.

There are exceptions, as with all things.  But I'd rather not be sent to the stoop and entered into Chris's black book.

Rule of thumb EVERYWHERE!!  Making accurate notes has dug me out of several deep dark elephant traps in the past.
