Poor Paul. First we belabour him for the text being too small, now he gets it for the text being too big. If we aren't careful, he'll put it the way he likes it and stuff the lot of us. ;)
Cheers.

Okay - I've basically set it back to how it was to begin with. Lets have a poll.

In other news, I've enabled the ability to upload pics directly to the forum.

You can add up to 8 images per post, 4MB maximum size per pic, and 16MB in total per post.

You can only post pics via the standard post and reply functions, not quick reply.

That direct pic posting will save LOADS of messing about.

Great news, and well done Paul.

I just have to say that this has, actually, been one of the most swift and easy, not to mention least painful, forum updates I've been through in my thirty years on the internet. That's a feat, in my book, and something you definitely deserve quite some credit for, Paul. Very, very well done!

Thanks @Pellson, hopefully the forum keeps going for another 21 years :)

Since the update, I receive much less alert by mail (from what-if modelers forum) than before, has the periodicity changed?
(I mean: quite often, when I come back on the site, now I see there has been a reply in a topic I had put on alerts, and a glasses sign confirms this, without my mail giving an alert, but if this alert happens 24 hours after the reply, it is normal that I am not alerted 4 or 10 hours after it. Is this the explanation?)
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

I think you may be right - I will look at the email setup.

I'm still getting used to the changes, but there's one thing I miss.  When I'm checking out the updates on builds, I have to scroll back to the top of the page to find a "Next Topic" button ... Does anyone else want one? and, would it be a problem to add one of those buttons to the bottom of the page?

I've got one of those at the top on the RH side above the buttons for REPLY : MARK UNREAD : PRINT : NO ALERTS OR EMAILS (the top set).

I have a minor whinge.  The MY MESSAGES button is now somewhere I don't necessarily notice.  But i suppose i'll get used to it.

Thanks for looking after this side of things BTW Paul.  We are all quick to complain but I don't think I have thanked you.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I just had the same business over 'My Messages', but it's on the VERY top row, over on the LHS next to the bit that says who you are. But you have to be in listing of various threads to see it, you won't see it from here.

Yes, but no - that's not the issue.   :banghead:  :banghead:

The problem for me is that I scroll down from the top of a page, and when I get to the bottom there's not a Next Topic button down there.  I have to scroll up to the top again to move on to the next topic.

What I was asking was 1) If anyone else also dislikes having to scroll to the top of the page, or is it just me?
and
2) if it's not too much trouble, could we please have a second "Next Topic" button at the bottom of the page for those of us who dislike having to scroll back up just to get to the next topic.

I never do that............

I always start off with the 'Recent Unread Topics' link and it brings up all the ones I haven't read. Then I start at the top and read them in turn, and when I've read the first thread I hit the back arrow at the top of the browser and it goes back to the whole list of topics. I hot the next one and so on and so forth.
