Good evening,

Getting pretty close to Scale Modelworld so plans are coming together. I have a few projects still in progress which I won't announce until I know they are going to be ready. This one should be delivered in time, masters have gone to CMR to cast, just waiting on Rob Taurus regarding the canopy production (not shown) but should be okay.

This is the BAC Mustang Low Speed Research Vehicle in 1/72 scale, about 10 cm long, beautifully mastered by Paul Lucas. Optional parts included for an unpowered version, or with a recovery rocket just in case.

I'll be honest, I've been sitting on this release for a while now since Joe Cherrie did one around the time mine was ready so I held back, but I think its time for it to see the light of day.

I'll post more on this thread as more items get confirmed.

Thanks,
Colin

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Ooh indeed!  What do you reckon the retail price will be, Colin?

Longer wings perchance?   ;D

I don't know about that really, who'd so something THAT silly?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I don't have a price yet but I'm hoping around £25. I'm drawing the decals this week so don't have a printing cost yet, or a casting price.

Some progress on Mustard glider decals, content done but still needs final lay up.  XV170 was a vacant serial from the period, offered in black or white depending on scheme chosen. Suggested scheme is light weight Aluminium with Florescent Orange trim, or possible Light Aircraft Grey instead of Aluminium for period 1969 onward for the rocket powered option. I won't be offended if you paint it yellow though!

This is magnified at 400% in Illustrator, final sheet will be tiny (those are 8 inch serials), so about 6 cm square.

Thanks,
Colin

Since it's a glide testbed, I would presume it would b airlaunched, is there anything as to what the carrier aircraft would be?  I'm thinking a whif Vulcan B.Mk.2 "Raspberry Ripple" paint scheme would look attractive as the carrier vehicle.
