There's usually a page or two of threads that have new posts.
I prefer to open the ones that I want to read in a new tab.

My bog-standard PC keyboard has a [Home] key. When I press it, the browser responds by flipping back to the top of the page. Yes it's an extra keypress, but it's better than scroll-scroll-s-c-r-o-l-l-l-ing as if your life depended on it. Took me about 20 years to realise it was there. 

Of course, not every gadget/browser combi is guaranteed to have something similar, but worth checking out.

There's also the "Go Up" button.

Kit, if you click on the members User ID and then look in General Stats, you'll find all sorts of stuff about that member.

I just tried that on yours Robert, but I can't find anything that resembles 'General Stats'................

Yep, I removed a few things from there to make the layout better. Not sure you need to constantly see this information in evert single post.

It's once you open 'Show Stats' it shows General Statistics

Recently received messages on here but not had any email notifications. Just had a look and can't find any setting that says on or off for such a thing so is this a fault ?

And choice of Alert and Email.
