Quote from: elmayerle on September 05, 2022, 08:08:19 PMSince it's a glide testbed, I would presume it would b airlaunched, is there anything as to what the carrier aircraft would be?  I'm thinking a whif Vulcan B.Mk.2 "Raspberry Ripple" paint scheme would look attractive as the carrier vehicle.

It was for testing low speed handling, ground launches were suggested for early flights, with later flights being with "something of DC-3 like performance" if I remember the quote.  The RAE had Dakota's so they might well have been used.  The glider would have been skinned with plywood, so I assume it would need aluminium if launched from high altitude?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

That'd need a HECK of a lot of red and blue paint!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Not necessarily.  Only the cockpit would need to be skinned in metal to keep it airtight

Next up for November release. This is a Hawker Eagle Tempest conversion in 1/72 scale, designed for the KP Tempest V base kit. Plan is to sell this in a bundle with the KP parts as a complete kit.

,

This is a no cut conversion, resin nose and leading edge directly replace kit parts.  Fuselage intake scabs on to kit underside.

Not sure if this will be cast by CMR or in the UK, time is a bit tight to get to the Czech Republic and back for Telford.

Hope you like it.

Thanks, Colin

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

The Wooksta!

I know it's a six blade contra prop but an eight blade Wyvern one looks so much meaner.
I'll nab one at Telford, please.

Yes definitely. Current issue is where I get it cast in time. The Mustard masters were stuck in Czech customs for nearly two weeks, If the same happens with these and my other projects I might have an empty stand in November! If I cast in the UK it will cost me significantly more, and I like CMRs quality.
