Smoothed the fuselage join today, glued on the gun panel under the nose, filled all available space with weight and then glued on the nose cone.

Basic assembly is finished.  It's had a shot coat of primer and I have smeared putty into the few joins which need them (mainly the wing roots).
A decision now needs to be made regarding paint.

I would post a picture but I am sure most of you know what a Revell Hunter built OOB looks like in primer.

I certainly do - I have several littering the place.

I've decided on NMF like the RAAF Sabres.  She's had a coat of Alclad Gloss Black undercoat and it the weather forecast is right I should get the metal coat on over the weekend.

Stickers started.  She will be an RAAF 3 Sqn bird.
This involves colourful tail fin markings which I am adapting from a Novascale Mirage III set.   Lots of cutting to fit.  Both of the markings and of an underlying white sticker.
This is quite time-consuming.

Well, I have already intimated my preference for the Patches scheme, but natural alumininm will still look great. After all it is a Hunter

3 squadron tail markings complete.  Now to do the rest.

After finishing work today I returned home to find my favourite niece had dropped in for a visit.
She can talk underwater and held forth at length but after she left there was still time to put the stencils on the Hunter (I had put the roundels on yesterday).
