For any US members, it seems Hobby Lobby are doing some deep markdowns.  Saw someone post about it in a Facebook model group so stopped in myself to see.  My local HL had these three kits (literally, JUST these 3) marked down 75%.  $20 for the 3.  The Osprey may end up in RN service and the other two are mostly for spare parts and kit bash fodder.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Awesome find!

Ollies, Portsmouth Virginia.  Never know what you may find there at Ollies, but I have often found that one store has something, nearby stores have similar inventory.

Portsmouth had two Comets, I bought one.

Plus some PE for the Tamiya Pibber, a turned metal barrel for the Tamiya 1/48 IS-2, and some extra thin glue (which was absent from my LHS along with a lot of other stock - apparently they are having trouble getting merch from the distributers because they are only a small store).

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Courtesy of a 'Red Cross parcel' to our Ukrainian 'guest' and her daughter from her partner in Kyiv:
- ICM 72074 Polikarpov I-153
- Olimp ProResin R72-046 Hunter T7/T8C/T53

Wouldn't have dreamt of ever buying an I-153, quirky design, kit looks good (have checked reviews and som minor issues to resolve) and will be an OOB real world build.  Incidentally, the kit's been repopped by Hasegawa and Revell in recent years.

The Hunter looks gorgeous, only shortcoming is the decal sheet, which is that of the T.66/66A/66B/T.68 boxing minus the Swiss markings (which actually would have been really useful!), but I'm not complaining.  Again a real world OOB using Modeldecal A&AEE Hunter T7 markings (cos years ago I blagged a jolly in that one).

Thank you Yuriy, great gifts.

Not when the parcel contains clothes and toys that were left behind when they fled the country.
