Supermarine Sea Lion

After the moderate success of the Saunders-Roe SR-A1 Wale, the Royal Navy issues a specification for a successor in 1948. Four companies handed in proposals and the Supermarine company was awarded a contract for 3 prototypes. the first of these flew in 1950 and after a short testing period the Sea Lion was ordered in production.

The type saw service in the Korean war and proved to be more than able to hold its own against the North Korean MiG-15s.

Model: Revell P6M Seamaster with 1/72 cockpit and canopy from a F8F Bearcat
I lost the canopy of the Revell kit and decided to re-scale the 1/136 scale kit to a 1/72 single seat fighter.

Love that one too! Any variation of a Seamaster just HAS to be good.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

And one of the very few four engined jet fighters too.

Any takers for the other(s)?  ;)

Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Woooow, that's convincing. Nice plan tot scale-o-rama the seamaster kit. Once did the same.

Making it in English livery is a nice touch.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
