A care package just arrived from our man Gondor! A vacuform canopy, a new Revell canopy (really nice) and two fuel tanks. Just what I need to finish this devil. I ended up using the vacuform canopy as I could get that sanded to the proper shape. It's glued in place all ready and the fuel tanks are ready to paint. This is going to look so much better than the short shot Matchbox one. Thanks again Gondor you saved the day! That Revell canopy will go into storage for future use.

So: if you win this GB, you should share the $ trillions prize with Gondor! (Honnestly: 1% for him, 99% for you)

Well I just plain ran out of times on this one. Too much real world out there. If someone could please move the to the current and finished topic I would really appreciate it. I have every intention of finishing it asap.

Yes, I sincerely hope it will be finished, even if this is not for the GB (I mean: Group Build, not Great Britain) ;)
This is so interesting a project it deserves completion, someday

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks for the move. Don't worry Tophe, I'm working on this and the other WW2 attack chopper too.

I've been working on the Havoc and the Mako chopper at the same time as the paint scheme is basically the same. The Mako just got the light grey underside but the Havoc is wrap around. The Havoc has the weapons loaded but not on the Mako yet. Next for both is some clear and then decals. No pics to show as Flickr has pulled a fast one on me. They say I've uploaded my limit of pics and now I have to pay the "pro" rate to load any more pics. What they don't make very clear is it's the number of uploads they are counting, not the actual number of pics. So if I delete some pics it doesn't matter. My wife had an account she never used so I should hack into that and use it.

Thanks to your wife for the forthcoming pictures hosting... ;)

Still working on the Havoc. Started decals last night. I'm not sure what to do about squadron markings. What did the British use in the late 80s or early 90s?

Good news about the future completion of this model. <_<
Concerning the markings of the British squadrons: they use anything in the whif world... ;)

So true!
I was going through the decal stash and was looking at various ways to make something up.
