I picked up a Hasegawa OV-1 Mohawk for cheap at our club show and I had the crazy idea of your twin engine Cheyenne with a Mohawk cockpit. I'm so twisted.

Now that would look cool ! Like that one Kamov with side by side seating.

Hmmmm....  Which would be the pilot and which would be the gunner?
I saw something similar once with an A-37 cockpit.

Tradition has; left seat = pilot, right seat = co-pilot/navigator(/gunner?)

Not in a side-by-side helicopter though, the pilot is always on the right in that case.

I'm not sure there is a 'standard' for a two seat in-line helicopter, as both possibilities have been tried.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I've read somewhere, it's the collective/throttle stick which is set down the side of the seat dictates where the pilot sits. Western helicopters have it on the left side, so it would impede the entering/exiting of the cockpit if the seat was on the left side.  Photos show on a tandem arrangement the access door on the right for the pilot, on the left for the gunner --
